What do Clarence the dinosaur, toasters, Christmas Village buildings, and salt and pepper shakers all have in common? These are things that people in Reno County collect and you can see them all and more on exhibit at the Reno County Museum. The Reno County Museum will open its newest exhibit to the public, My Crazy Collection! on December 1, 2016. We will show off a total of 32 separate collections, on loan to the museum throughout the year. Seventeen collections will be on exhibit from December 1, 2016 until June 30, 2017 at which time fifteen entirely different collections will be rotated in for the final six months of 2017. Two collections, a newspaper collection owned by Jan Bretz and a dinosaur collection owned by Greg Holmes will be on display for the entire year. The Reno County Museum provided assistance with displaying, labeling, and identifying collections; however, many of Reno County's collectors chose to set up their own collections.
