Calling All Collectors! New Exhibit at Reno County Museum – December 2, 2016
Hutchinson, KS - Would you like to show off your collection? Is your collection the best around? Salt and pepper shakers. Coins. Action figures. Spoons. Matchbooks. Pens. Dolls. Hot Wheels.
What do you collect? That’s what the Reno County Museum wants to know!
Beginning December 2, 2016, the Reno County Museum will open its newest exhibit, My Crazy Collection! We want to show off your collections and we hope you will share your crazy collection with us, on loan, to exhibit.
From October 1 through October 22, we call on all you crazy collectors out there to submit your collection for a friendly contest we are having. Tell us what you collect and we will compile a list of all entries submitted. Then we will present this list to all of Reno County for a vote on which collections folks would like to see exhibited. Collections with the most votes will secure a valuable space in our Community Gallery of the Museum. Voting will begin October 23 and end on October 31.
Your collection will be on exhibit for six months at which time another collection will be rotated in for a final six months. The Reno County Museum reserves the right to approve all entries and make the final selections based on all submissions. The Reno County Museum will also provide assistance with displaying, labelling, and identifying collections and also reserves the right to final text and exhibit design.
There are only 22 spots available for this fun and exciting exhibit, so submit your collection today! You can submit your collection by calling the Reno County Museum at 620-662-1184, emailing Curator Lynn Ledeboer at firstname.lastname@example.org, submitting your collection on Facebook or stop by the museum during our normal business hours. We will need the type of collection you own, your name and contact information.
