Welcome to Reno County Museum!

The Reno County Historical Society was founded in 1961 and has been located at the corner of Walnut and Avenue A in Hutchinson, Kansas since 1986. Our mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and share the history of Reno County, Kansas to inspire awareness and appreciation of the past and present for future generations. The museum occupies two historic structures that have been joined to form one facility. Exhibits are currently on display in the Great American Life Insurance Building which was built in 1917. The archive and offices are housed in the Rosemont Building which was constructed in 1913.
